Neshaminy Girls Lacrosse Seniors - A Fun & Creative Team Session

There’s something really special about photographing high school seniors—especially when it’s a group that’s spent years playing together, growing together, and building memories as a team.

When Neshaminy High School senior Emily reached out to me about photographing the Neshaminy High School girls lacrosse seniors in Bucks County, I was all in. We scheduled the session early in the season (before things got too hectic—which is always a win during the school year!).

Making It Work (and Even Better Than Planned)

High school schedules are no joke, and finding a space to shoot can be challenging. I left that part in Emily’s hands, and we ended up setting up in a small room at the school.

Emily had requested a navy background, but I only had a roll closer to royal blue. Instead of forcing it, I pivoted and used my Lastolite HiLite background—which acts like a giant softbox.

Not only did it give us beautiful, even light, but it also made image extractions incredibly clean, allowing me to design and create whatever background we wanted afterward—including the exact navy look they had in mind.

Let the Creativity Take Over

From the moment we started, these girls brought the energy.

We had a general plan, but it quickly turned into one of those sessions where the ideas just kept coming. And yes… I took way too many photos—but when the creativity is flowing, you go with it.

We captured everything from classic portraits to some really fun, unexpected moments:

Playing air guitar with their lacrosse sticks
Stacking into a human totem
And absolutely nailing a “star” pose that took teamwork (and a lot of laughs)

This is what senior year looks like—fun, chaotic, and unforgettable.

Why These Sessions Matter

As a mom of a high school senior myself, this session hit a little differently.

This isn’t just about photos—it’s about capturing a moment in time.

A season of life where friendships are strong, schedules are packed, and everything feels like it’s moving just a little too fast.

These images represent:

Their bond as teammates
Their personalities off the field
And a chapter they’ll never get back—but will always be able to look back on

Years from now, these won’t just be team photos—they’ll be memories.
